I was thrilled to see an advertisement in the Feb/March 2013 Belle Magazine (p.38), for ‘HELIODOR’ Wallcovering Collection by Arte. I have just installed this stunning and ‘very’ special grassweave ‘LEAF’ design 49052 at my new apartment – we all love it! And the colour mood changes all day, from pewter to charcoal to an almost deep petrol green and swampy grey/brown (oh doesn’t that sound just delicious!!).
Each of the designs in this stunning collection are hand-woven inlaid wallcoverings, made from natural plant fibres on a shimmering metallic ground, with selection of rich colours in each design. The interesting thing is that the design is created by the grassweave being cut and turned, which simply shifts the the way the light strikes it and making the pattern. This wallpaper is sold by the metre. A Brisbane customer allowed us to share a photo of their newly completed guest powder room, that features Harlequin ‘ENTICE’ wallpaper. It is so elegant and in this colourway Silver Sparkel, Putty & White (110096) it finishes the room so beautifully. The lighter colour trees have tiny crystal beads that shimmer ever so subtly (no, the kids won’t be able to pick them off!). The room was lovely to begin with, but the wallpaper just takes it to a whole new level.

We received a lovely email from a customer in Dubbo, NSW, saying how much they absolutely love their Schumacher ‘Kelly Wearstler’ IMPERIAL TRELLIS wallpaper splashback. The colour is ‘Charcoal’ – SKU5003361 and we agree it looks very striking with the charcoal cabinets. We recommended installing the wallpaper in the usual manner, and then covering and sealing with toughened glass, as you would a normal glass splashback. Yes! it is a very expensive wallpaper, but, it looks just amazing – thankyou for sharing your photo with us Rachel.
